In our discipleship class, we see ourselves as modern-day Ananias, called to a profound mission of spiritual awakening and empowerment. Just as Ananias played a crucial role in the life of Saul (who later became the apostle Paul), we believe that we are entrusted with the responsibility of nurturing and guiding the disciples of today.
Ananias’s encounter with Saul on the road to Damascus serves as a powerful illustration of our purpose. Like Ananias, we are called to approach those around us, gently removing the scales from their eyes so that they may see the truth of God’s Word clearly. We recognize that within our class are the disciples of today, eager to learn, grow, and be equipped to go out into the world and spread the Gospel.
In the divine tapestry of creation, each of us is uniquely endowed with gifts and talents bestowed by our Heavenly Father. These gifts are not merely for personal fulfillment but are intended to be instruments through which we spread the Gospel and serve others. As stated in Ephesians 2:10, we are God’s handiwork, crafted with purpose to carry out His good works.
You have them! Now, it’s time to call on the Holy Spririt to “stir them up”!
